I have known or known of Damian for nearly 30 years. He started at the spinal centre after my time but he was always there on return visits, in outpatients and in community. He was an awesome nurse, truly dedicated to his patients. His support for Back Up was unwavering too, another place where our paths crossed later on. He with Marta came to a fundraiser for the Push back in 2018. It's been wonderful to see their relationship blossom. A remarkable man.
